Agility Manifesto
We have uncovered better software development methods in the 20+ years since the Agile Manifesto was born. Twenty-something years ago, the biggest problem to solve was delivering on software projects. Since then, Agile has solved this delivery problem, and we have now learned that:
Agile did not address product management or stop you from delivering the wrong things.
Agile introduced much of the business world to new and better ways of working.
Many Agile concepts can be applied outside of the software domain.
Dark/flaccid/zombie Agile turned many developers off from Agile.
The agile methods that existed when the manifesto was written don't scale.
If your organisation does indeed need adaptability/agility, then we recommend taking on these values:
Outcomes over output
Customers over shareholders
Products over projects
Teal over Taylor*
* Teal = Organisational design and management practices supporting autonomy
Taylor = remnants of lndustrial management
Agility Manifesto was inspired by:
Marty Cagan
Teresa Torres

Jeff Gothelf
John Cutler
Bjarte Bogsnes
